I dodged being born on April 1st by one day and since then everything has been awesome.

After using the Fotodiox Pro MD-EOS lens adaptor for about a week, it felt like a good  time for a review.
First off, the device is not perfect. Don’t get an adaptor assuming that it will be as great as buying a proper lens for your camera. On the other hand, there is something quite wonderful about using vintage lenses to take photos (I also found them to be quite durable).
The pros associated with using a lens adaptor are very obvious. They save you money and expand your arsenal of lens by allowing you to use ones that would otherwise be incompatible. Personally, I really like the older lens and putting them to good use feels great.
Now the cons, the addition of an adaptor means that there is another piece of glass to keep clean and smudge free. I also found that the adaptor didn’t lock into my camera as well as an actual Canon lens. Make sure you check this before letting your camera sustain any bumps or shaking (my 135mm lens did a face plant as I was setting up a shot because of this).
At the end of the day the lens adaptor was a great buy. Just be sure to keep the adaptor clean and make sure it is securely fastened to the camera.

New lens adaptor arrived today. I’m excited to finally use all the old lens from a Minolta camera I was given a few months ago. Time to get shooting.
